Senior IT Specialist
6-month extendable contract
Cardiff or Swansea – Onsite full time
£155 per day Inside IR35 via Umbrella

As the Senior IT Specialist, you will, support the IT Support Manager in delivering IT services to internal and external NHS stakeholders, lead the Client Services Team, ensuring service targets are met and coordinate with national project teams for project delivery.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, explaining complex IT issues.

* Lead and participate in meetings to discuss service requirements, progress issues, and answer queries.

* Facilitate discussions on IT matters, resolve conflicts, and provide written/oral advice on system usage.

* Conduct training seminars and produce technical documentation for system maintenance.

* Identify customer requirements, risks, and issues, offering evaluated solutions.

* Diagnose and resolve IT faults/problems.

* Analyse and design processes to ensure user needs are met.

* Understand NHS Wales policies and their impact on IT systems.

* Provide specialist analysis to inform NHS policy decisions.

* Evaluate new IT technologies and implement third-party solutions.

Skills & Experience:

* Technical support experience and IT system development.

* Leadership in IT system implementation.

* Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Degree in IT or equivalent experience.

* ISEB Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management or equivalent.

* Knowledge of common hardware/software applications and IT infrastructure.

Working Arrangements:
The office base is in Cardiff or Swansea full time.
