IT Project Manager

Location – London

Rate – £550 – £600 per day Ltd

12 month outside IR35 contract opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager with a successful track record delivering IT change projects.  

ABOUT THE JOB

The role is to provide resilience to the project management team (this person will be 1 of 2 Project Managers) who will be responsible for managing the programme of large scale IT Change project which involves replacing the MPLS network with SD-WAN (Software-defined WAN) architecture.

Within the role, you will be responsible for working in partnership with the existing Project Manager and the Network Manager to plan and deliver the project throughout the complete life cycle (end to end delivery) of the project,

This project covers the entirety of the company’s locations and as such has multiple sites, excellent stakeholder management is a must, both internally and externally with vendors and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered efficiently throughout each of the project phases across multiple sites throughout the business. Organisation and management of project deliverables and coordination of suppliers necessary for the successful delivery of the programme.  

You will be responsible for, plans, documents, reports and managing the delivery of the project components. Delivering the project to the agreed timescales, cost and quality requirements to ensure the deadlines are met.

The role will be based in the London head office with travel to sites across London and Kent as required. Hybrid working is available where appropriate to suit the programme.

DUTIES

Create and manage project plans, driving progress through to completion, generating highlight and exception reports and managing the risk register appropriately, adhering to project methodology practices.

Work collaboratively to deliver to the agreed technical, business and cost justifications following stage gate controls.

Work collaboratively to create and update detailed plans incorporating all dependencies, managing all aspects of RAID (risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions)

Work collaboratively to update implementation plans minimise disruption to the business.

Work with the Network Manager and network team during the project to deliver the change project.

Manage supplier implementation of new circuits, ensuring required risk assessments and method statements are in place for site work.

REQUIREMENTS

Expert in change management

Great knowledge of IT Networking

Knowledge of network migration will be advantageous
