Test Engineer

Test Engineer Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for a variety of testing methods including System Testing, Functional Testing, Exploratory Testing, Automated Testing, Compatibility Testing, Regression Testing, Reliability Testing, and Usability Testing.

* Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

* Communicate and work effectively with other team members and members of other teams throughout the business to identify, report, and resolve issues.

* Utilise lifecycle management software such as Jira for tracking and managing defects, test cases, and project tasks.

* Participate in the software development lifecycle, contributing to DevOps and continuous integration (CI) processes.

* Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.

* Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

* Ensure software reliability through rigorous testing and validation processes.

* Provide clear and detailed reports on testing activities, results, and quality metrics.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends.

Test Engineer Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role.

* Strong understanding of various testing methods including System Testing, Functional Testing, Exploratory Testing, Automated Testing, Compatibility Testing, Regression Testing, Reliability Testing, and Usability Testing.

* Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle, DevOps, and continuous integration (CI) practices.

* Proficiency in using lifecycle management software such as Jira.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

* Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.

* Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance are a plus
