About the Position:

The role of Senior Project Manager entails leading the planning, execution, and oversight of various digital projects, encompassing team management and budgetary responsibilities.

We are seeking an individual who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in orchestrating seamless project progression. The ideal candidate will thrive on motivating diverse teams to achieve milestones and surmount project obstacles.

This position is based at our headquarters in Newcastle Upon Tyne.


Job Title: Project Manager Hours: Full-time, based on 37.5 hours per week. Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne (3/2 hybrid working).


As a Project Manager, you will:

•Develop and execute activity and resource plans, alongside handling management and administrative duties.

•Maintain and update project plans and documentation.

•Collaborate with the team to resolve resource conflicts.

•Manage holiday requests to ensure adequate resources are available to meet project deadlines.

• Organize and inspire the project team.

• Ensure efficient time management and adherence to deadlines.

• Estimate costs and manage budgets.

•Identify and manage project risks.

• Provide support to the broader commercial team.

Experience and Skills:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• A solid understanding of software development life cycle models.

• Expertise in Agile and traditional project management principles, blending techniques as per project and business requirements.

• Successful implementation of software or web development projects using Agile methodologies.

• Proficiency in managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Experience in overseeing diverse project teams encompassing UX, Creative, Developers, and QA.

• Proficiency in budgetary control and stakeholder reporting.

• Compilation of scope of requirements documents, progress reports, and change control documents.

• Ability to conduct face-to-face and remote meetings with clients confidently.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Interaction with business and IT personnel at all levels.

• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.

• Capability to manage competing client demands.

Desirable Criteria:

Candidates with the following attributes are particularly desirable:

• Certification as a SCRUM Master or working towards it.

• Strong understanding of business needs.

• Ability to establish and maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.

• Solid understanding and demonstrated experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office suite
