Senior Finance Systems Developer

Python / SQL / C#

Birmingham | Hybrid – 2 days in the office | £75K – £90K

I'm working with a growing organisation in Birmingham who are looking for a Senior Finance Systems Developer to join their team.

This is a hands-on senior technical role combining software development, systems integration and emerging AI/ML technologies, with the opportunity to lead and mentor two developers.

You'll be responsible for:

Leading development across bespoke finance applications and integrations
Working across the full SDLC, from design through to deployment
Developing and maintaining REST API / JSON integrations
Acting as the first technical escalation point for the support team
Leading and mentoring two technical team members
Developing into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / AL environmentKey technical skills:

Python – ideally Flask
SQL / T-SQL
C# / .NET
HTML / CSS
REST APIs / JSON
Strong SDLC experience
Previous technical leadership or mentoring experienceDesirable: Dynamics 365 Business Central, AL, AI/LLM, Azure, Java, SQL Server/data warehousing or Tableau.
