Security Systems Engineer

Location: Derby / Project Sites (5 days on-site) Clearance: SC Clearance Required (Held or Eligible)

The Opportunity

Are you a "commercially savvy" engineer who thrives on complex, high-stakes projects? We are a leading Derby-based security firm known for delivering 24/7 operations in the most demanding environments in the UK.

We are looking for an Engineer who enjoys the hands-on challenge of commissioning and configuring next-generation tech. You will be working with cutting-edge software and hardware—including platforms we exclusively distribute in the UK—to protect critical national infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

Commission & Configure: Take ownership of the physical delivery of CCTV, access control, and emergency communication systems.

Problem Solve: Use your technical expertise for fault-finding and issue resolution on live, mission-critical sites where uptime is essential.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all installations strictly follow low-level designs and produce high-quality handover documentation.

*

Technical Growth: Work across a range of commercial products, including Mercury and Axis technologies.

What We’re Looking For

*

Commercial/Industrial Experience: A background in high-security or industrial environments is key (this is not a residential role).

Technical Skill: Hands-on experience with door access systems (ideally Mercury, Paxton, or Hikvision) and integrated CCTV platforms.

Reliability: A methodical approach and the ability to work on-site 5 days a week within sensitive environments
