Security Architect – Microsoft Security and Sentinel

Remote within the UK only

Up to £70,000 depending on experience

The Role

We are recruiting for a Security Architect to join a growing Microsoft-focused consultancy delivering security projects across a wide range of client environments.

This is not a purely governance or documentation-focused architecture role. You will be involved in designing solutions, advising clients, shaping security strategies and remaining hands-on with implementation where required.

The business is collaborative, technically strong and focused on delivering practical security outcomes rather than simply producing reports and recommendations.

You will work across Microsoft security technologies including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Identity Security and Purview.

What You Will Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include designing Microsoft security architectures, leading client workshops and requirements-gathering sessions, and advising organisations on security best practice and improvement programmes.

You will design and implement Microsoft Sentinel solutions, onboard Microsoft and third-party security technologies, and help improve security monitoring, detection and response capabilities.

You will also work across Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, Identity Governance, Azure Security and Zero Trust principles.

The role will involve supporting security transformation and cloud migration projects while working closely with engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

Microsoft Sentinel Experience

Strong Microsoft Sentinel experience is particularly important for this role.

You should have practical experience in areas such as security telemetry onboarding, Syslog and CEF integrations, log ingestion, normalisation, data connectors, KQL, detection engineering, analytics rule tuning, automation and incident response workflows.

Experience integrating third-party technologies into Sentinel would be highly beneficial. This could include platforms such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco, Zscaler, Netskope, Trend Micro or Qualys.

What We Are Looking For

You may currently be working as a Security Architect, Security Consultant, Senior Security Engineer, Security Platform Architect or in a similar senior Microsoft security position.

You will need strong Microsoft security expertise and experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.

You should be comfortable translating business requirements into practical security solutions and balancing architecture, consultancy and hands-on technical delivery.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
