THE ROLE:

Project Manager – Workforce Sector, Hicom

Hicom have a diverse portfolio of solutions ranging from an NHS national recruitment system to diabetes and patient care systems used across the UK and UAE.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our established Workforce team, ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. The Workforce team produce a wide range of HR and recruitment-oriented solutions that are used nationally throughout the NHS.

The role requires working with new and existing customers to agree project governance, timelines and delivery plans.

The Project Manager will be the conduit between the customer, Product Owner and Hicom’s development and delivery teams so excellent organisation, communication and inter-personal skills are essential. The candidate must be professional, results orientated, flexible and able to work well under pressure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities within the role of Project Manager will include but is not limited to:

Project Planning and Execution:

* Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, considering client requirements and expectations.

* Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, resource allocation, RAID logs, meeting minutes and change requests.

* Proactively identifying project risks, potential delays and dependencies and initiating corrective action as appropriate

* Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators and ensure adherence to project timelines.

* Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments and performance metrics to key stakeholders (internal / external)

* Writing and obtaining sign-off of functional specifications, where needed, to support client requirements.

Stakeholder management:

* Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs and address any concerns.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, which may include end users, administrators, and IT teams.

* Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, performance metrics and budget reports to key stakeholders (client-side and within Hicom).

* Full management of UAT processes for clients – ensuring clients understand and undertake UAT, processing of UAT feedback, raising of bugs.

* Formalising escalation plans for critical issue.

THE RIGHT PERSON:

* Own the entire lifecycle of a project from requirements to delivery

* Provide a meticulous approach to delivery and a keen eye for detail

* Be confident, independent, and display initiative

* Collaborate with multiple teams and colleagues

* Focus on results and timely delivery

* Full clean driving license with a willingness to travel

* Comfortable working remotely

EXPERIENCE:

Essential

* Proven working experience as a Project Manager or similar, in the Information Technology sector

* Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods

* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project

Desired

* Agile / PRINCE II certification is a plus

* Experience in Healthcare Technology
