macOS IT Engineer

Reporting to: IT Director
Location: London
5 days office based – W1

Exciting financial based company – going for circa 20 years.

State-of-the-art tech.

A fantastic opportunity to join a small IT Team of two, reporting directly into the IT Director
where you will have responsibility for researching, deploying and managing the entire
infrastructure of the firm.

This office-based role will be a hands-on customer-facing role managing a variety of user support tickets, using the latest technologies and building real value add for the firm.

They key duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
Deploy new laptops and iPhones using JAMF infrastructure,
Maintain asset lists.
Create all new users in all required applications including but not limited to Okta, Google apps, Slack etc.
Install and update all Mac and IOS devices following patch approval from IT Director
Troubleshoot any networking issues and document any relevant fixes 
Provide support to the IT Director in all large IT projects
Manage the help desk and document all user requests coming in. Elevate user requests to the appropriate person until resolved
Monitor and support security tools including umbrella and antivirus. 
Ensure all Zoom room meetings are operational and provide technical hardware and software support
Provide pre-designed onboarding training to all new users
Deliver pre-designed training to users as required
CANDIDATE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
 
A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience. Experience in financial services or professional services environment is advantageous
Knowledge of Mac and Windows technologies
Knowledge of Meraki/Cisco – specifically Switches/firewalls and WIFI
Knowledge of JAMF/MDM Deployments
Knowledge of Google Workspace (users, emails, docs) and GAM
Strong IT support skills, troubleshooting and problem-solving
Knowledge of Zoom Rooms/Zoom Phone/Zoom Meetings
Formal training: Any Jamf qualifications nice to have
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Must make users feel comfortable, calm and confident in resolutions of issues
Strong growth mindset
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong work ethic and high levels of ambition, energy, resilience and drive to succeed
Agile and flexible approach with ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
Strong judgement and ability to think independently, use own initiative, and self-start
