I am looking for exceptional Lead SRE for my client who is one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology companies. The role carries a large responsibility to lead a team of engineers which is going through a period of growth.

The product is designed to make every software instantly accessible for any user and help companies improve their customer and employee engagement.

About the role
The Lead SRE role is not only about a smooth operation of applications on cloud infrastructure, but it is to build a platform and set of tools that allow the Engineering team to move more quickly and with more confidence.

The client is looking for a lead-level SRE with a strong background in Cloud infrastructures, tools, and software development.

Helping the team ensure a highly available, reliable, and scalable product offering to meet the customer commitments.

Your Responsibilities
– Identify and mitigate reliability and security risks.

– Preventive monitoring of production applications' performance and acting on potential issues before they impact users.

– Support and scale the cloud infrastructure for the growing ecosystem.

– Deploy reliable and maintainable distributed systems and create automation, monitoring, diagnostic and debugging tools.

– Write scripts from scratch in Bash or Python.

– Support and troubleshoot database operation and performance.

– Troubleshoot Docker containers and code written in PHP and JavaScript.

– Debug network and performance issues in large-scale distributed systems.

– Implement tools and processes to enforce cloud security best practices and review performance of service and infrastructure SLAs and track operating costs.

Your profile
– At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development and have at least 2 years of experience with deploying cloud-native applications (Kubernetes, Docker).

– Good knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems, a good understanding of advanced networking concepts, and know the core concepts of Azure

– Fluency in English and have good communication skills.
