Lead Data Analyst

£45,000 – £50,000

Job overview

Responsible for leading, supervising & supporting the data analyst team. Will also provide information reporting and dashboards deliverable to both internal and external stakeholders. External is delivered to service launches/re-launches and on a routine basis; and internal is mainly to an ad-hoc/priority basis. These reports are based around measuring the value of work we are delivering towards the NHS and healthcare; and to also measure quality, KPI’s, billing measurements for internal purposes.

Principle responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Supervise the data analyst team, managing their day-to-day work, their priorities and being a go-to for queries and support

• Maintain/strive to improve an understanding of all major areas of analysis and statistics. This includes certain tools: MySQL, Tableau, Excel, VBA, and other BI tools

• Work with the IT Operations Manager to improve team processes, to strive to push and use new technologies & to improve the usage of the database

• Maintain, develop and be responsible for key reporting streams used both internally and externally

Essential skills:

• Good experience with using a spreadsheet software tool (such as Excel & VBA)

• Good experience with a relational database system (preferably MySQL)

• Good experience with an interactive dashboard software (preferably Tableau)

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to project manage and prioritise

• Experience of leading a team of data analysts

• Experience providing customer support and administration for web-applications
