I'm currently on the lookout for a talented IT Support Technician to join a sustainable and innovative market leading company in the Timber industry – this is an onsite role based in Carlisle.

They're one of the largest and most reputable companies in the UK in their industry as they continue to innovate and provide sustainable solutions for their clients.

They're searching for an IT Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team at their Carlisle site. This role is essential in providing comprehensive technical support and maintenance across our business.

Reporting to the IT Support Manager, your primary focus will be assisting system users with computer support and IT maintenance, ensuring efficient resolution of issues from initial request to final resolution. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, networking, operating systems, and applications, providing technical advice to a non-technical audience.

Key Responsibilities:

1st Line IT and Helpdesk Support.
Addressing and Escalating Tickets from their Ticket Management System – Tickets, Phone, Email, F2F.
First Response from Technical Queries/Issues.
Configuring and Building Machines from Scratch.
Checking Backup Systems and Maintaining them.
Helping with the Installing and Configuration of Servers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience as an IT Support Technician
Knowledge of Desktop, Laptop and Server Support
Understanding of Windows 7,10 and 11 Operating Systems
Experience of Supporting Office 365
Excellent Communication and Problem Solving Skills
Full UK Drivers License
It would be beneficial if you had… Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, VMware

They have offices across the UK but you will be based in Carlisle, working full on-site (Monday-Friday), so they're ideally looking for someone already based in a commutable distance from the office, additionally you'll have occasional visits to other office locations.

For this role, the company will carrying out two interviews stages, with the first being fully remote via Microsoft teams, followed by an in person interview.
