IT Project Manager
Location: Based in Tividale with travel to other company sites
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 per annum
Our client is an AIM listed company operating commercial and subsidised bus routes for businesses, local authorities, the public and private individuals. They operate approximately 800 vehicles and have approximately 2000 employees across 9 sites in the North West, Midlands and Heathrow.
They have an exciting IT Project Manager role available on a fixed term basis to lead on a transformation software project to the point of implementation and then support with the hiring of a developer to implement the transformation. Reporting to the CEO, our client is looking for a skilled IT project manager who has experience of leading and delivering on the implementation of IT projects relating to systems. The role is to lead the business in the development of current software and create bespoke software that will assistant the business in driving for continuous improvement.
The project has already been scoped and our client requires someone to take this project forwards based on this framework. You will be expected to lead on the project, report to the key stakeholders in the business while managing the scope, budget, timeline, resource, and benefits of the project.
The hours of work will be a minimum of 40 hours per week, but you will be expected to work the hours necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role and travel to depots where required.
Define and track project scope, budget, timeline, resource, quality, and benefits
Initiate the IT project based on the current framework and monitor, control and develop it
Manage and co-ordinate development tasks and projects
Manage issues and risk
The development of our payroll and people related software
The development and implementation of bespoke software to support and enhance day to day operations
Working within multiple project delivery methodologies
Managing and coordinating SAAS implementations on both client site and remotely
Qualifications and Experience
A recognised project management qualification (e.g., Prince2 practitioner)
Previous experience of software-based IT project manager
Competent in the use of SQL / VBA Microsoft
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong time and workload management skills with a demonstrable track record of successfully managing conflicting priorities
Ability to write and deliver presentations appropriate in style and content to the audience
Experience of success in IT infrastructure / integration projects
Experience with ITIL, web development systems, cloud and other emerging technology systems.
Demonstrated experience of agile project management
Working knowledge of ERP systems is desirable
