Are you an IT Project manager with a proven record of managing IT projects through the full lifecycle from analysis and design through to production implementation. Are you based in Manchester and looking for a hybrid working environment? Them read on!
The Project Manager will be working with internal and external stakeholders to manage several IT and business change projects to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget and to ensure that objectives are met.
What you'll be doing:
Manage IT projects through the full lifecycle from analysis and design through to production implementation
Execution and delivery of IT projects using structured methods and approaches
Agreement and documentation of business cases and project objectives
Management of project resources
Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
Ensure that project objectives are clearly documented, understood, and achieved
Using IT systems to keep track of project progress and develop detailed project plans
Evaluating the success of projects against their benchmarking and sharing lessons or best practise with colleagues
Report and escalate issues and progress to key stakeholders
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Develop good practise business cases and measure subsequent benefits realisation
Definition and documentation of business and functional requirements
Documentation of business processes and workflow analysis
Act as interface between business functions and IT technical resource
Develop knowledge of production systems and business processesTo be considered you need:
Degree level educated.
Project / Programme Management certification (Prince2, Agile, Waterfall etc.)
6+ years delivering IT and business change projects
Energetic, passionate and driven with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Problem solving and decision-making ability
Delivery focused and not easily distracted
Proven ability to work independently and with initiative to tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
High-level of creativity, adaptability and persistence to find the best solutions
The ability to plan, organize, schedule and co-ordinate multiple tasks to achieve objectives
