We seek an innovative, versatile, and commercially astute IT Manager with 5+ years of experience, ideally in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, but other areas will be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience operating in a multiple-country environment.

This role requires a forward-thinking manager who can deliver defined infrastructure and technology-focused business projects, typically within the manufacturing and customer-focused departments, delivering operational transformation and efficiency gains from an IT, technology, and business perspective.

This role is hands-on; you will be expected to configure network switches and troubleshoot server technical issues with the rest of the IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-defined IT projects aligned with business goals.

Ensure IT, digital, and business alignment.

Control IT spending versus the defined budget.

Manage IT operations and service delivery.

Implement the disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Leverage modern technologies and innovations.

Manage crisis situations.

Foster a continuous improvement approach.

Handle 3rd party vendor management.

Measure and manage team performance with KPIs.

Person Specification:

Forward-Thinking Leadership: Promotes a ‘partnering’ IT leadership approach and a ‘change culture’.

Communication: Able to articulate complex IT concepts to a non-IT audience.

Technical Expertise: Experience in delivering new technologies and automating processes.

Team Building: Inspiring leader who can build, develop, and empower high-performing technical teams.

Change Management: Drives IT/business change

Security Focused: Improves information security and ensures business continuity/DR planning.

Essential Technical Skills:

Cisco networking predominately switching

Microsoft 365 administration

VMware

High-availability storage solutions

General Microsoft servers

Desirable Technical Skills:

Linux

AWS

Grafana

MQTT

Node-Red

Project management

Open-source software

MySQL

Timescale databases

Apache and Nginx web servers

Based Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire border.  3 days needed onsite per week due to project collaboration requirements.
