Job Description:
I am currently working closely with a client in search of an experienced IT Manager to lead and supervise their technology operations, as well as the development of IT systems and policies. The ideal candidate for this role will take complete ownership of the IT department, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the business's objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
* Monitor performance of current systems to determine cost and productivity levels
* Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
* Analyse business requirements by working with key stakeholders across the business to develop solutions for IT
* Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems
* Manage the current IT team including recruiting, training, mentoring and coaching
* Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions
* Audit systems and assess their outcomes
* Manage annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
Requirements:
* Proven working experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role
* Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems
* Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
* Ability to manage a team
* Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
* Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritise
* Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
* Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or similar.
