The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.
As with any large and complex organisation, the operations and aspirations of the RNLI are underpinned by technology which aims to enable and multiply capability. It is the role of the charity's IT department to deliver, support and operate this diverse ecosystem.
It is important that our IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. The IT Administrator will contribute to this by providing effective administrative support to staff in the IT department based in Poole.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and prior experience of providing office-based support to a highly technical and diverse team.
To be considered as an IT Administrator, you will need:
– Experience in a similar role with a good general understanding of procurement and finance processes
– Experience of loading and managing content within a corporate intranet system
– Experience of the Microsoft Dynamic AX (or similar) business application
– Experience of controlling a small stationery budget and associated stock
– Experience of taking meeting minutes and providing secretarial support
Our staff and volunteers have been saving lives at sea without prejudice for nearly 200 years. We respect and value diversity of background, skills and perspectives within our teams, and consider it essential to help us deliver a world-class lifesaving service. We are an inclusive organisation and welcome applications from everyone. In addition to having the skills needed for the role, we also look for applicants who share our commitment to living our RNLI values (trustworthy, courageous, selfless, and dependable), and helping us work towards our goals of halving drowning in the UK and Ireland by 2024. This involves a growing commitment to preventative action, using our expertise to work in partnership with communities locally, nationally and internationally to prevent drowning.
