Front End Developer | Government/Public Sector

Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

6 months contract
Location: Telford (2 days per month onsite, remainder remote)

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join a high-performing team working on modern, scalable web applications within the COTAX programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful digital services using cutting-edge front-end technologies.

Key Skills & Experience

React Frameworks
Strong experience with modern React frameworks, particularly Remix and/or React Router v7
Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
Proven ability to build SSR-ready applications with a solid understanding of progressive enhancement and its importance
Material-UI (MUI)
Hands-on experience developing applications using the MUI React component library
TypeScript
Demonstrable experience building robust, scalable applications using TypeScript
End-to-End Testing (E2E)
Experience with modern E2E testing frameworks, especially Playwright What You'll Bring

Strong front-end engineering mindset with attention to performance and usability
Experience delivering high-quality, production-ready code
Ability to work within agile, collaborative environments
