We are looking for a customer-focused Desktop Engineer to support our client Intel, based on their site in Leixlip. This is an entry level position; however, the applicant should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face to face communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global I.T support teams.
This is a full-time position working Mon to Thurs-8AM – 4.30 PM & Fri 8AM-3.30PM
As a Desktop Engineer your responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1st and 2nd level laptop / desktop support
* Monitoring call management systems
* Providing support for; Walk-in Service Centre, Installs, Breakfix, Refresh, and Training Rooms
* Troubleshooting Office Software Issues
* Support Wireless office environment
* Participate in Project based assignments when required
* Participating in Hardware /OS Refresh activity adhering to strict PC refresh schedules
* Regular off-site visits to Intel Warehouse may be required
* Participating in weekly Audio-Visual proactive maintenance schedule when required, log and resolve issue
What we are looking for:

* Self-motivator with the ability to work under minimal supervision
* Hardware knowledge
* Experience in Refresh/Rollout activity
* Proficient knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10. Windows 11 etc..) and the Microsoft Office suite
* Manual Handling Experience
Desirable experience:
* Safe pass certified
* Experience in a similar position is desirable
