Data Engineer – Contract Opportunity

Telford – On-site 1-2 days per month (Flexible)

The ideal candidate will have active SC clearance
12‑month contract
£575 per day (Inside IR35)

We're looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to build and optimise SQL-based data pipelines within a regulated public‑sector environment. This role is delivery-focused, working with established designs and standards.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong Oracle SQL expertise (performance tuning, complex transformations)
Experience with enterprise ETL tools – Informatica, Talend, or Pentaho
Proven background building robust data integration pipelines
Experience in regulated / enterprise data environments
Confident working to defined architecture and governance frameworksWhat You'll Be Doing

Designing and maintaining high-quality ETL & data integration pipelines
Optimising SQL transformations across Oracle platforms
Ensuring data quality, reconciliation, and performance
Supporting scheduled/batch processing across multiple systems
