Data Engineer, ICIS, Sutton / London
We have an outstanding opportunity available for a Data Engineer for our Analytics Platform team within our Technology division, working closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Systems Engineers, Application Support and Product Development. The role will involve building and supporting analytics systems, models and environments.

The candidate should be capable of working through and understanding complex systems and working with their team build innovative and practical solutions to meet the business requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Build automated ETL data processing solutions to prepare, clean and on-board data into a central database with minimal manual input
Create backend data platforms and data infrastructure to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists
Writing and maintaining Python code and libraries
Write complex SQL queries on top of the data design and infrastructure
Ensure the infrastructure is easily accessible and always running smoothly
Ensure systems meet business requirements as well as industry standardsRequired skills and experience
Experience working in Agile teams i.e. adhering to Agile methodology & delivery
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
SQL and ETL experience
Python/Scala (or a similar programming language) experienceDesirable skills:
Data lake and data warehouse knowledge
Knowledge of reference data management systems
Docker & Kubernetes
Data Science experience
