Data Engineer

I’m working with a company near Guildford who create an award-winning cloud & intranet solution who are looking for an ElasticSearch specialist / Technical Service Engineer to work with analytics systems using Elasticsearch on Windows VMs. You will also work with Azure, SQL, .NET and Datadog. Your teams focus will be on maintenance, stability, reporting, and uptime of systems.

Due to a huge amount of success the company are growing rapidly and expect to more than double in size in the next couple of years, so its an exciting time to join.

This is a varied role and the ideal candidate will have some experience with big data analytics, infrastructure, systems engineering as well as distributed systems.

* Management of the Elasticsearch analytics and search infrastructure

* Management of the Azure SQL Database structure

* Development of reporting requirements such as uptime, availability and other custom metrics from Azure, SQL, Elasticsearch and Datadog

* Identify opportunities for improvements to technical operations

You will need

* Excellent knowledge of Elasticsearch

* Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure like Azure

* Strong understanding of languages like T-SQL and PowerShell

It would also be great if you have

* .Net / C# will be required due to reporting solutions and automation

* Knowledge of Datadog

* CMS , & Modern Workplace experience
