Job Title: Cloud Server Engineer (Azure Engineer)
Location: Moorgreen Hospital, Botley Road, West End, Southampton, Hampshire, SO30 3JB
Trust: Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (8:00 – 16:00 or 9:00 – 17:00)
Contract: 6 months (possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: £24.82/hr + holiday pay (£28.22/hr total)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Cloud Server Engineer (Azure) to lead and support the Trust’s IT infrastructure. You will manage servers, storage, and Active Directory services, ensuring security, reliability, and continuity of IT systems. This role is critical in migrating and optimising the organisation’s infrastructure to the Azure cloud.

Mandatory Requirements:

* Proven Microsoft Azure experience, including building and configuring virtual servers.

* Hands-on experience building, configuring, and maintaining servers (physical and virtual).

* Experience with cloud migration projects and hybrid networking.

* Expert in Microsoft network operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Build, configure, and maintain servers both on-premises and in Azure cloud.

* Manage Active Directory, email systems, SQL databases, and storage solutions.

* Monitor and troubleshoot server and cloud infrastructure issues to ensure high availability.

* Plan, execute, and support migration of workloads to Azure cloud.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

* NHS experience.

* Cisco networking experience (switches, routers, firewalls).
