Start your business development career in a rapidly growing business, supported with a full training package and subsequent coaching and continued learning.

Starting salary of £24,000 to £28,000 (dependent on experience/qualifications) with expected on target earnings of £50,000 OTE. Following successful completion of our training programme and achievement in this role, you could rapidly progress with the right effort and attitude to position yourself for further advancement as the company expands.

The opportunity:

We’re searching for 4 dynamic individuals to help drive and maintain our growth in the UK and Europe. These are entry level positions for highly motivated individuals to join our Business Development Academy as Education Solution Executives.

During your induction period we will enrol you on our 90-day training and development programme to learn the core selling skills, product knowledge and market knowledge from our in-house experts. Providing both internal and external coaching and mentoring to help you achieve the essential skills and knowledge to guarantee your success.

You’ll be selling market leading technology solutions that have already been adopted by leading UK institutions, providing best practice standards for high value secure documents and credentials. Excelling in this entry-level sales role opens doors to a rewarding career pathway, leading to longer term opportunities, such as Education Solutions Specialists, in our wider global expansion.

Our Academy will train you to meet your key responsibilities:

– Key market development

– Opportunity Identification

– On-board new accounts

– Business development meetings – virtual and in-person

– Sales Development

Advanced Secure Technologies is a well-established company, headquartered in Cardiff, Wales, UK, with new international subsidiaries. We specialise in market-leading security document technologies that deliver outstanding service, whilst protecting our customers against document fraud.

We’ve doubled as a team in the last two years and are in the process of growing our head count by a further 25% this year, to keep pace with our company’s growth. We focus on business development driven through long-term and excellent customer relations, working as secure technology consultants to our customers.

Our customers include institutes across all education sectors, Universities, Professional Bodies and Awarding Organisations. These range from UK based specialist organisations right up to large and globally renowned education institutions both in the UK and overseas; and we are rolling out ambitious plans to grow our business further worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

* Qualifications: We desire a minimum of 2 A Levels (grade C or above) however, above all else we value drive, dedication and determination so don’t let this hold you back on applying if you still think you are right.

* Strong Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to communicate effectively, complemented by a confidence to develop proficient sales and negotiation skills.

* Organisational skills: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and stay organised in a fast-paced sales environment.

* Resilience: Willingness to handle & overcome objections, remaining positive in the face of challenges and setbacks.

* A Drive for Growth: Self-motivated, highly pro-active and organised individuals, with a genuine enthusiasm to become a business development specialist.

* Positive Attitude: A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a can-do approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Of Interest, but not essential:

* Language Skills: Fluency in additional languages is especially of interest and will create clear advantage for candidates.

* Advanced Study: Relevant qualification or specialist skills.

* Digital Skills: Training in Digital Marketing or Data Analysis. Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM.

* Sales Expertise: not essential as all successful candidates will participate and graduate from the Advanced 90 Day sales training programme.

* Industry Knowledge: Prior experience within the education sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

Location:

St Mellons, Cardiff, Wales. (Onsite and office based 5 days a week, possible occasional UK travel)

– Starting basic salary of £24,000 – £28,000.

– A 90-day Advanced sales training programme, to quickly develop your skills and knowledge to enable you to hit the ground running.

– The opportunity to earn monthly activity lead bonuses, coupled with an uncapped commission structure which will commence after successful completion of induction period.

– OTE of £50,000 per annum for motivated and successful individuals.
