Business Analyst

We're looking for a Business Analyst to work for our client.

Led by a team of election experts, with almost 50 years' experience an award-winning leader in the delivery of elections software and services to local government in the UK. They are the industry leader in Digital Transformation at the polling station and are growing fast and have some exciting roles to fill to help us at this pivotal point in our development.

If you can demonstrate experience of technical, analytical, and development skills including analysing new requirements from clients and customers and translate these into functional specifications for the product development team then you could be perfect for our client and we'd love to see your CV.


– Performing business analysis, document processes and be involved in user acceptance testing
– Acting as a customer proxy for the development team during the development cycle of our product
– Evolving the details of the user stories through conversations with the development team
– Reviews of the product after each iteration and attending iteration retrospectives to provide feedback and improve the development process
– Assisting in developing test plans, creation and maintenance of configuration documentation, operational procedures and guidelines
– Establishing effective working relationships within the project team ensuring timely and effective communication within projects to manage risk and escalations
– Conducting meetings and presentations to stakeholders, producing reports and requirement analysis based on these meetings


– Experience of technical, analytical, and development skills including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of business problems of moderate scope and complexity
– Additional experience of agile scrum development methodology and corresponding concepts related to user stories, acceptance criteria
– Further experience of executing test plans and test scripts for software applications, document expected results vs. Actual results, and record software defects
– A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline – Desirable
– A current and recognised project or programme management certification – Desirable
– A minimum of 3 years' experience in business analysis or a related field
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to think 'out of the box' for process improvements
– Available for office based working several days per week and at short notice


The Package:
– Basic salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
