Methods is recruiting for an experienced Bid Writer to join our growing business on a permanent basis.

This role can either be home based or based at one of our Methods Offices. Please note occasional travel to our London office may be required.

Please note due to current COVID restrictions this role will be remote working until restrictions have been lifted.

Methods is currently seeking a motivated individual to join Methods' Bid Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for producing compelling, high quality tender responses that clearly articulates our value proposition.

This is a networked role that will involve working collaboratively with Bid Managers, Portfolios leads, Directors, Salespeople, and internal SMEs; often under pressure and to demanding deadlines.

The successful applicant will have a genuine enthusiasm for proposal writing and a passion for digital transformation. They will also be expected to support the ongoing enhancement of the company's repository of bid information and collateral.

This role will work across a number of our client offerings, but with a particular focus on The GDS (Government Digital Service) Lifecycle portfolio. This work focuses on developing public services that meet users needs, are safe, accessible, responsive and secure, and which enable digital transformation within an organisation. We do this across the full GDS lifecycle (discovery, alpha, beta and live), meeting GDS standards, using agile methodologies and undergoing GDS assessments

The Bid Writer will be responsible for:

Contributing to bid planning and storyboard sessions with bid team members and key stakeholders.
Delivering completed written proposal responses against agreed tender deadlines, which could include identifying and reworking existing content or researching and re-drafting existing content.
Reviewing and editing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
Ensuring all new/updated proposal content is made available for re-use.Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

Must be familiar with the GDS Digital approach as set out in the GDS Service Manual; how digital multidisciplinary teams work; and what each DDAT role brings to the team.
Must have awareness and understanding of a User Centred Design approach; and researching, designing and developing inclusive digital service.
Must have some familiarity with Agile, the GDS lifecycle (Discovery, alpha, beta, live) and meeting the GDS Service Standard.
Can demonstrate the ability to really understand the question being asked by the potential client, and then being able to draw upon the right examples (from our bid library) and/or technical knowledge from our experts, to demonstrate our approach, skills and capabilities.
Exceptional content skills including both short form and long form responses – according to the word count assigned to a particular question.
Proven skills in researching, writing and editing content within a complex business environment
Experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders, with an ability to communicate and influence at a senior level
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
Excellent attention to detail
MS Office skillsDesirable skills and experience:

Experience of contributing to a bid library
