2nd Line Support Engineer
Job Description
We’re partnering with a global organisation to hire a 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance their group-wide IT infrastructure. This role focuses on BAU support, technical escalations, and assisting with infrastructure and network projects.
The Role
*
Own and resolve 2nd line BAU tickets in line with SLAs
*
Act as an escalation point for local IT teams
*
Provide remote and on-site support to users
*
Support infrastructure, network, and security projects
*
Assist senior engineers with servers, networks, backups, and MDM
*
Maintain accurate ticketing and documentation
Key Skills & Experience
*
2+ years in a 2nd line support / infrastructure role (ideally from an MSP)
*
Strong Microsoft stack experience (Windows 10/11, Server, AD, Azure AD, O365)
*
Networking fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi)
*
VMware and Veeam experience
*
Awareness of cyber security best practices
*
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
