You'll own the creation and development of a suite of microservices that will facilitate our digital transformation. Working with both Product Owners and technical stakeholders you'll gather and refine requirements to ensure the development team delivers the right thing first time.
Your role will be to maximise business value delivery via strict prioritisation of development work across multiple business propositions and initiatives.
You'll champion the vision for our technical services, ensuring that they align with our architectural principles and roadmap and move us incrementally towards our end state goal.
As a Product Owner your areas of focus will include:
Working collaboratively across a shared vision communicating progress and development timescales to various colleagues.
Defining objectives and measuring their benefits to ensure we deliver a first-class digital experience.
Own the Product roadmaps and manage the expectations of all dependencies involved.
Break down complex problems into manageable and achievable initiatives ensuring your champion the needs of the customer at all times.
Understanding the outcome of roles assigned to you – reaching out to other members when support is needed.
This is a remote-based role with quarterly travel to team meetings.
You should be based in the UK and our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire.
This means you could be from areas such as Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Hinckley, Kiddeminster,
Leamington Spa, Leicester, Lutterworth, Northampton, Nuneaton, Rugby, Sutton Coldfield, Telford
You'll live and breathe our digital-first ethos, with an agile and pro-active approach. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider team and you'll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.
Required skills and competencies:
Strong technical understanding of microservices, API and system integration
Able to change direction quickly and frequently, focusing on the outcome rather than the path we take to get there
Excellent communication skills, able to translate with ease between technical and non-technical colleagues.
A focus on results, with excellent interpersonal skills to keep people energised, positive, and focussed on delivering value.
A strong understanding of the technical architecture of complex web applications.
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Product Owner, Online Product Owner, Digital Product Manager, IT Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Agile Environments, Scrum Master, Jira, eCommerce, Retail, FMCG, Online, Online Trading.
