System Administrator (DevOps / AWS / Infrastructure)

The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing, technology-driven organisation looking to hire a System Administrator with strong DevOps and infrastructure experience. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining, optimising, and scaling critical systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Linux/Windows environments)

* Support and optimise cloud platforms, particularly AWS

* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines

* Monitor system performance, availability, and security

* Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues

* Automate routine tasks using scripting and command-line tools

* Support deployments and environment configuration

Key Skills & Experience

* Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role

* Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)

* Solid DevOps understanding (CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code)

* Strong command-line skills (Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting)

* Experience with server management (patching, monitoring, performance tuning)

* Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing)

* Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar (desirable)
