Software Engineer with a solid GUI system or desktop development experience is sought on a hybrid basis by a multi award winning international engineering company based near Leicester.

With over 30 years of innovation this Software engineer will be joining a multi-disciplinary research and development team working to create thermodynamic engineering solutions.

This Software Engineer would be working closely with a friendly, welcoming team with extensive one on one training and a clear progression path into a lead level software engineering position in the near future.

This role would suit an engineer with at least 4 years commercial experience ideally gained in a high level engineering or R&D environment with a solid foundation in systems and/or software development (C++, java, c#) who is happy to play a lead role in defining project scope and deliverables.

In return this software engineer can expect a high level of autonomy and the chance to help shape the output of cutting edge technology.

This Software Engineer based near Leicester should have most of the following:

– Extensive experience building graphical user interfaces ideally gained in the engineering or SciTech sector
– Strong system or desktop application development experience
– Solid experience in C++, Java or C# software development
– OO software design understanding -UML etc
– Git version control knowledge
– Experience of graphic libraries would be really useful – OpenGL, DirectX etc
– A real passion for learning new technologies and working in a R&D driven environment.
