Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Athlone, Hybrid, €55-60k per annum

We are seeking an experienced SDET to join our client based in Athlone, who are in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Design, implement, and execute test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Work closely with developers to understand code changes and perform code reviews.
Utilize your expertise in Java development to contribute to the automation of test cases.
Write automation scripts to trigger Batch processing data and verify entries in Oracle databases.
Document test cases, test results, and defects to facilitate communication and issue resolution.
Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, providing valuable input during sprint planning and retrospectives.Requirements:

3+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
Strong proficiency in Java development with a focus on test automation.
Experience with both manual and automation testing with a strong knowledge of SQL for Database testing.
Familiarity with Kafka and OpenShift technologies is highly desirable.Benefits:
