We are looking for a Software Specialist to develop, test and implement software packages for our Chromascan product range, the Marine and Protective Coatings global tinting system.
As Software Specialist you will support our existing colour software packages as well as develop and improve them going forward. This will involve gathering requirements, writing specifications and collaborating with programmers to deliver change. You will also test outcomes and document processes. You will work in partnership with colleagues and customers to troubleshoot software queries and provide remote assistance. In addition, you will compile and update software documentation, update web pages and complete quarterly and yearly business reports.
You will have a degree in Information Technology or a STEM subject. As a self-starter, you will be used to investigating problems and evaluating data sets to deliver meaningful business results. Proficient in MsOffice, you will be familiar with maintaining databases and web pages. You will be effective at influencing software development by generating new ideas and providing solutions. You will also possess good communication, presentation and report writing skills. Knowledge of programming would be an advantage. Experience of working with Product Vision, colour software, SQL, SQLite, SSMS and WCF services would be advantageous.
