Software Delivery Engineer
We are excited to be able to offer a Software Delivery role working for an industry-leading software company in Cambridge, UK. You will be joining a company who are going through an exciting growth phase, and where there is growth, there is an abundance of career opportunities.
Within this role you will be responsible for optimising the lifecycle, ensuring efficiency and excellence. You'll ensure processes align with commercial objectives and provide support to the tech team by addressing inefficiencies and bottlenecks along the way. We are happy to consider both an experienced professional a fresh graduate with brilliant communication skills, top academics and a logical mindset.
Location: Cambridge, UK (3 days in office / 2 days at home)
Salary: £30,000 for a Graduate, up to £50,000 for experienced + excellent benefits
Requirements for Software Delivery Engineer – Graduate considered
* Excellent academics including a 2.1 or 1st class honours STEM degree and at least AAB at A Level
* Excellent problem-solving ability
* Brilliant communication skills – this role is highly communicative with internal stakeholders.
* Confidence – this role will involve approaching technical teams and agreeing project timelines, holding them to account on deadlines etc
* Strong technical acumen – this role will involve release and build engineering
* You are a highly organised person (you love a spreadsheet!)
* You are looking for a role which goes beyond the code
Responsibilities for Software Delivery Engineer – Graduate considered:
You will join the infrastructure division within a leading software house. You will support the internal technical and non-technical customers within the Development, Operations, Sales and Finance teams.
This will include supporting:
* Responsible for the software development lifecycle resulting in packaged releases of software
* Ensure efficient and high-standard lifecycle management on a daily basis
* Drive processes to meet commercial goals
* Provide assistance and guidance to the tech team to address inefficiencies or bottlenecks
* Analyse the SDLC for weak points
* Propose or develop human automation solutions
* Project management
