We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join this community of experts in DWP Digital. You will design and deliver innovative solutions across cloud-based technologies and create the foundations for services that will better meet the needs of millions of UK citizens.

You'll be working within our Child Maintenance Group (CMG) with a brief to design and implement solutions architecture for digital online services that will ensure children and their carers can access the support and payments they need as easily as possible.
You'll develop solutions to architectural challenges that are unique to DWP as we leverage cloud-based technologies like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and hosting environments, networking and public cloud infrastructure.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
Architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.
Micro-service and API-led architecture design.
Event-based architecture design, patterns (including pub-sub and data streaming), modelling techniques, tools and standards.
Public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, and networking design patterns, tools and best practice (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Agile / DevOps delivery methodologies and best practices.
Presenting to technical governance forums.

Our CMG team is based in Newcastle so you'll join us in our brilliant Digital hub in Longbenton.
