Senior Data Engineer (Databricks Specialist) | London/Hybrid | up to £85k + Bonus

📍 Location: London (Hybrid – ~3 days/week onsite)

📄 Contract: Permanent

💼 Reporting to: Tech Lead

💰 Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 base + up to 20% bonus (based on performance & commercial impact)

With two senior team members moving on and demand growing fast, this is your chance to step into a high-impact, client-facing role where your work will directly shape mission-critical analytics platforms.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

* Designing and building scalable data pipelines using Databricks and medallion architecture

* Leveraging Delta Live Tables (DLT) for streamlined transformations

* Migrating and optimizing legacy pipelines

* Preparing datasets for Power BI and other analytics tools

* Implementing Unity Catalog for governance and lineage

* Supporting pre-sales and client engagement

* Collaborating with Platform Engineers and Architects

* Championing best practices across engineering and DevOps

✅ What You Bring

Must-Haves:

* 5+ years in data engineering

* Deep hands-on experience with Databricks

* Strong grasp of medallion architecture & DLT

* Proven experience in pipeline migration & optimization

* Excellent communication skills—technical and non-technical audiences

* Comfortable in fast-paced, client-facing environments

Nice-to-Haves:

* Unity Catalog experience

* Certifications (Databricks, Azure, AWS)

* Industry experience in manufacturing or supply chain

* Exposure to pre-sales or proposal work
