12 month contract with possible extension for a further 12 months
On site in London 2 days a week

We are looking for a project manager to oversea a travel app which is designed to provide real-time travel information and assistance to users, incorporating a user-friendly interface and a sleek design. Launched initially on iOS devices in August 2020 and subsequently on Android in December 2020, the app has garnered over 4 million downloads across both platforms. With impressive ratings of 4.7 and 4.4 on the Apple and Android app stores respectively, our app has established itself as a go-to resource.

The requirements:

The Project Manager to have expert knowledge of project managing mobile application development and supporting back end systems development.
The Project Manager to have successfully delivered projects, working with product managers to facilitate agile delivery within a traditionally governed project environment.
The Project Manager to work with all others as necessary within the project including the Product Owners, Suppliers Teams, Solution Architects and other stakeholders to establish an optimal delivery and management of the needed solutions
Must have experience managing projects within the transport industry Key Knowledge:

An expert in project management discipline, with knowledge and experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.  
End to end project delivery expertise in both technology and business based execution. 
Robust understanding or planning techniques, definition and identification of critical path, interdependencies, milestones hierarchies. 
Understanding and detailed experience of test principles and user acceptance testing. 
Understands the rationale and importance of RAID based controls and co-ordination. Focusing on proactive mitigations and identifying remedial actions and holding team/stakeholder colleagues to account. 
Matrix management of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective end-to-end performance, coaching individuals within your team to meet or exceed those levels of performance, and an understanding of resource demand management/forecasting.  
Proficient in budget management, accurate financial forecasting and variance tracking.  
Experience defining and measuring success criteria for project based deliverables. 
Ability to succinctly draft project highlight/progress reports. 
Has a proactive, forward thinking approach to project execution and can operate and act on own initiative. 
Has experience working with Product based Agile software development, and has experience using ADO.  
Strong stakeholder experience, both internal and external engagement, at differing levels of seniority. 
Strong communication and engagement skills. 
Has a collaborative and team ethos mind-set. 
Experience creating governance models, working within multi-disciplined and cross organisation governance models/hierarchy and ability to chair/facilitate key meetings/workshops  
Key Experience:

Proven experience of personal responsibility for successfully managing technology and data projects up to a value of £10M in a large, complex, and regulated organisation with multiple interfaces and delivering to time, budget, and quality. 
Managing multiple stakeholders and audience at all levels.  
Management of complex data centric projects. Including data modelling
