We are currently looking for an experienced Performance Tester to support a large-scale enterprise transformation programme focused on billing systems, integrations, and dual-run operations.

Performance Tester

📍 Reading, UK (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
📅 6 Month Contract

This role will focus on non-functional validation, ensuring system scalability, throughput, response times, and stability under real-world and peak load conditions.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyse performance testing requirements including user load, throughput, and transaction volumes

* Prepare Performance Test Strategy and Test Plans aligned to delivery milestones

* Design and develop performance test scripts using JMeter and/or LoadRunner

* Execute load, stress, endurance, and volume testing

* Monitor application performance using Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or Azure Monitor

* Analyse results and identify bottlenecks and system limitations

* Produce performance reports and tuning recommendations

* Manage performance defects through to resolution

* Support dual-run validation to ensure stable billing operations

* Validate high-volume transactions across multiple integrated systems

Required Skills

* 5–10 years in Performance Testing / Non-functional Testing

* Strong experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad

* Strong understanding of workload modelling and performance engineering

* Experience in Agile / DevOps environments

* Experience with high-volume enterprise systems

* Utilities domain experience
