OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY (OT) MANAGER

Job Title: Operational Technology (OT) Manager
Location: Kettering / Remote 
Salary: £55,000
Shift: Monday to Friday – Days

Job Role of the Operational Technology (OT) Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operational Technology (OT) professional to join a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent chance to take full ownership of the OT landscape within a growing business that is investing heavily in its systems, infrastructure, and technology.

This role will suit a hands-on OT Engineer or Manager looking to develop their career within a modern manufacturing facility, with real influence over systems, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining OT infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs. You will also lead on OT cybersecurity, business continuity planning, and lifecycle management, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the OT Manager

Experience working within an OT, IT, or manufacturing technology environment

Strong understanding of OT infrastructure and support within a production setting

Experience managing systems, changes, and technical documentation

Requirements for the OT Manager

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar OT or manufacturing IT role

Strong technical knowledge of servers, networking, virtualisation, and Windows systems

Experience with Active Directory, cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and firewalls

Ability to troubleshoot and maintain production-related IT/OT systems

Structured approach to projects, change management, and reporting

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Desirable Requirements for the OT Manager

Experience working with automated manufacturing or process equipment

Knowledge of IT/OT integration within a production environment

Experience with packaging or processing equipment (e.g. Tetra Pak, Galdi or similar)

Understanding of backup, restore, and system lifecycle management

The OT Manager will benefit from:
