Title: Network Engineer

Salary: £25,000 – £38,000

Location: Buxton

Established in 1998, our client have earned a solid reputation as a trusted IT support provider for various businesses. They are currently seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their close-knit team of six. This role presents an opportunity to acquire certifications as needed and is based in Buxton, catering to clients throughout central England.

Position Overview: As a key member of the small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including:

Providing support to a diverse clientele, ranging from large enterprises to small businesses across various industries.
Balancing office-based tasks with on-site customer visits.
Engaging in end-to-end project work opportunities.
Anticipating the evolution of your role within the team, shaped by your skills and expertise in this collaborative environment.
Emphasizing continuous development and enhancement.Skills and Competencies:

Strong networking knowledge, encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
VoIP experience.
Proficiency with on-premise Windows server technologies (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy).
Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies, preferably Ubiquiti.
Hands-on experience with NAS devices, with preference given to Synology.
Proficiency in configuring and installing firewalls, particularly Draytek and pfSense.
Expertise in managing Endpoint Security products, preferably ESET.
Familiarity with Cyber Essentials.
Effective communication with customers via phone and email.
Windows 10/11 Desktop Support, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving.
Administration, support, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite).
Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Intune administration.Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus.
Previous experience in IT support.
Possession of a full UK driving license and a personal vehicle for limited company use (company van available based on experience).
Residing within a one-hour commute of our Buxton office.Personal Attributes:
