This Network Engineer role will be mainly home-based when the staff return to the offices it will involve working one day a week in the office. This exciting role will be part trouble-shooter and part project-based and will be working as part of a team but also will hold responsibility for individual projects. You will be instrumental in delivering the clients Network Transformation roadmap and will include firewall migrations, MPLS procurement and the deployment of SD-wan technologies. This role is for a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
  
Job Description:

Be a point of escalation for network outages, incidents to troubleshoot, analyse and resolve tickets
Undertake project work to assist in Firewall migrations, replacement of networking devices and SD-Wan deployment
Design and implementation of network changes including managing change process and CAB engagement Candidate Requirements:

A minimum of a current Cisco CCNA certified (Routing and Switch, Enterprise or Security) or relevant current ‘hands on’ years of work experience
Demonstrable working experience on Cisco Switches, LAN Switching to be able to configure, support, monitor and troubleshoot
Strong working experience on Fortinet and Palo Alto Firewalls to be able to configure, support, monitor and troubleshoot, any experience with Juniper firewall would be a bonus
Strong Remote access experience using SSL VPN and Site to Site VPN to be able to configure, support, monitor and troubleshoot
Experience with Cisco Meraki WiFi to be to be able to configure, support, monitor and troubleshoot
Good knowledge of IP Routing and TCP/IP
Experience in IP Subnetting and IP addresses management
Experience in working with outsourced service providers for services for WAN MPLS managed devices and Internet breakout
An understanding of Voice and QoS
Ability to produce HLD and LLD networking diagrams using Microsoft Visio
Ability to produce networking handover and support guides to aid the wider IT Department
Any experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud would be advantageous Commutable from Stoke on Trent, Cheshire, Newcastle under Lyme, Congleton, Wilmslow, Knutsford, Cheadle Hulme, Altrincham, Macclesfield, Alderley Edge.
  
Hours: Monday – Friday 37 hours per week (flexibility available)
Salary: £37,000 – £43,000 per annum
