Microsoft 365 Messaging & Collaboration Engineer
Hybrid – 4 days on-site p/w in London
Inside IR35 Contract

Are you a Microsoft 365 messaging specialist who wants to be the technical authority for Exchange Online, Teams and the security that sits around them?

We're recruiting for a contract Messaging & Collaboration Engineer to join the client services team of a leading global financial services organisation. You'll lead the engineering and evolution of its Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration platforms, acting as the Tier 3 escalation point and working closely with architecture, security, infrastructure and business stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading the engineering, design and continual evolution of Exchange Online, Teams and wider Microsoft 365 collaboration services
Leading messaging migrations, tenant optimisation and transformation initiatives
Implementing and managing Defender for Office 365, Exchange Online Protection and Proofpoint integrations
Designing Microsoft Purview capabilities including information protection, DLP, retention and eDiscovery
Maintaining secure mail flow with SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Providing Tier 3 support and automating with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
Driving adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot and mentoring engineersWhat You'll Bring

5+ years engineering Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration platforms
Expert knowledge of Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams in enterprise environments
Microsoft Purview, Defender for Office 365 and enterprise email security (Proofpoint preferred)
Exchange Hybrid and mail migrations, Entra ID and Conditional Access, Intune
PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation
DNS, SMTP and certificate knowledge, and ITIL service management
Experience in global or multi-tenant, regulated environmentsDesirable: Copilot readiness and adoption, Teams Telephony, SharePoint Online and OneDrive, Power Platform, Azure Automation and Logic Apps, Zero Trust

Please note: this role needs four days a week on site in London.
