Microsoft 365 Engineer – Charity Organisation – York (Onsite Only)3‑month initial contract | Inside IR35 | Up to £350 per day
Your New CompanyYou will be joining a highly respected charity based in York, dedicated to delivering vital care and support services to the local community. As the organisation continues to expand its digital capability, they are seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer to provide hands‑on technical support and ensure smooth running of core IT services. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a purpose‑driven organisation where your work will directly support staff and the patients they care for. This role is fully office‑based in York.
Your New RoleAs the 365 Engineer, you will play an important part in the day‑to‑day delivery of IT services across the charity. You will act as a key point of contact for staff, supporting a wide range of technologies and helping drive effective use of Microsoft 365 across the organisation.Your responsibilities will include:

Providing hands‑on support and administration for Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Intune, etc.)
Delivering high‑quality end‑user computing (EUC) support across devices, applications, and user environments
Supporting basic network troubleshooting, connectivity issues, and on‑site technical queries
Working within ITSM processes such as incident, request, and change management
Providing customer‑facing support to both office and staff, including face‑to‑face assistance
Offering technical guidance and helping users adopt best practice across IT systems
Responding quickly to issues and demonstrating strong problem‑solving and "think on your feet" capability
Collaborating with the wider IT team to improve processes and service delivery

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you should have:

Minimum 12 months hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
Strong EUC support experience, covering devices, applications, and user environments
Exposure to basic networking (switching, connectivity, troubleshooting)
Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
The ability to work confidently on site and support clinical teams directly
A fast‑learning, proactive approach with the ability to work independently
Public Sector, Charity, NHS or healthcare sector experience (highly beneficial but not essential)
