Our client is a leading utilities and infrastructure business who are going through a period of huge investment and growth. We are helping them source a Junior Software Engineer to join the evergrowing team which provides training and development opportunities.

About the role:

Assisting senior developers in coding and testing PHP applications
Learning and implementing best practices in PHP development
Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in PHP code
Participating in code reviews and making improvements based on feedback
Contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
Assisting in the integration of third-party APIs and services
Testing and optimizing website performance, including page load times
Collaborating with UI/UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience
Participating in brainstorming sessions for innovative feature developmentSkills / Traits

Basic understanding of PHP, PHP Laravel, and web development concepts
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with basic web development tools and technologies
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Ideal Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
