Job Description

JOB TITLE

IT Technician (3 days a week)

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The IT Technician role will be responsible for providing Technical Support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. Duties include troubleshooting, hardware, and software issues, installing and configuring software and hardware and maintaining computer networks. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking skills, a strong understanding of computer systems and networks and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email or in person.

* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

* Install, configure and maintain computer systems, software and peripherals.

* Communicate updates and changes with the wider business when required.

* Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.

* Record and track IT equipment.

* Keep inventory of hardware and software assets.

* Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference along with preparing user guides and conducting in person training.

* Stay up to date with advancements in technology and IT best practices.

* Monitor and maintain CRM system with customer information and develop new work centres.

* Action CRM tasks assigned to IT.

* Update SABA system (in house) training materials.

* Ability to flex up working hours to cover, holidays, sickness training courses and IT forums.

* Member of Global IT community, Maximo, Sales order Management.

* Any other duties as and when required.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

* Self-Discipline: IT Technicians sometimes work independently, whether remotely or on-site. Having self-discipline ensures effective time management and task completion.

* Problem-Solving Skills: IT Technicians will encounter various technical issues. Being adept at troubleshooting and finding solutions is crucial.

* Attention to Detail: Precise work is essential in configuring hardware, diagnosing problems, and maintaining systems.

* Great Communication Skills: IT Technicians interact with colleagues, clients, and end-users. Clear communication helps in explaining technical concepts and resolving issues.

* Passion for Technology: A genuine interest in technology motivates IT Technicians to stay updated and excel in their roles.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

* Proven experience as an I.T. Technician or similar role.

* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and software applications.

* Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.

* Excellent communications and customer service skills.

* Ability to work independently
