IT Technician (Field-Based)
Delighted to be supporting our client, a reputable firm with over 25 years of experience providing specialised IT support services tailored for the education sector. Due to the expansion of services and internal advancements, has opened an exciting opening for a proactive and experience IT Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role, with a solid background in onsite support and technical issue resolution. This role involves field-based support for schools in the Leeds area and is available as either a permanent Full Time or permanent Term Time Only position (pro rata).
 
Essential requirements for this role include a full driving license, access to your own vehicle, and a satisfactory DBS check.
 
As an IT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in providing support via the help desk, conducting onsite visits to tackle technical issues, and fostering strong relationships with school staff to ensure their IT needs are efficiently met through both the help desk and independent onsite visits, with support from the team as needed. Flexibility between home and onsite work is necessary.
 
In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert, offering assistance, support, and building trusted relationships while enhancing your expertise in installing and maintaining all components of a school computer network.

A willingness to learn and develop skills.
Proficiency in key technical areas such as Windows Operating Systems, Window Server OS, OS & Software deployment, MS Office, Office 365, Google Workspace, Basic Networking, WIFI, interactive panels, filtering, VOIP, fault finding, and mobile devices. Salary: £25,000+ DOE
Flexible working hours over 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, no weekends).
