Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Technician to join their IT department on a temporary basis in Sutton Coldfield. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of computer hardware and software, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all technical skill levels.
This is a temporary, ongoing assignment with an immediate start for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician:
* Provide technical support on a variety of hardware and software issues.
* Configure and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
* Troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware issues.
* Manage and maintain the network and wireless systems.
* Adhere to safeguarding policies.
* Perform regular server back ups.
* Ensure the security and integrity of the IT systems and data.
The ideal candidate for the IT Support Technician role will have the following:
* Proven experience working in a technical support role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
* Experience with network troubleshooting and administration.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* An Enhanced DBS is desirable but not essential as one can be processed.
Hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
