IT Support Technician (Hands on 1st/2nd Line Support) – Sevenoaks, Kent – upto £25,000 plus benefits
My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to be the first point of contact for all IT users across the business, handling IT support calls and emails. Other parts of the role will involve hands on maintenance of hardware and preparation of kit to be delivered to staff on-site and off.
Act as the main point of contact for any IT related queries or issues.
Prepare new equipment and maintain existing hardware
Log all tickets on the company's system and update as and when needed
Remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, this could include Windows Server, Windows 10, local printers, scanners, general networking, and MS Office Suite including 365, Telephones, Mobiles, Tablets, Laptops & builds and ticketing system
Maintain equipment knowledge by keeping abreast of new products and existing product enchantments
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel within department, in other departments, with customers and equipment operatorsSkills Required
Previous experience from a 1st/2nd Line support role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals
Basic understand of the following;
PC & Laptop hardware, builds and troubleshooting
Printers and Scanners
General network troubleshooting
Office Telephones and mobiles (iPhone & Android)
