IT Support Technician
£25,000 – £27,000 per annum depending on experience
Chester (Please be aware, this is an office based role)

Main Purpose of Role for IT Support Technician:
The IT Support Technician will act as an IT customer service and technical process expert as the face of IT for Cogent. This role will provide day to day support for internal and external customers working with our IT partners to create a seamless user experience by protecting, maintaining, and improving the stability of Cogent IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Log and respond to IT requests via phone, e-mail and in person.
* Escalate incidents and problems to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
* Working with our IT partners to determine and evaluate appropriate recovery actions, and ensuring preventive management is in place to guarantee repeat occasions are avoided.
* Ensure timely communication is carried out in relation to service events
* Responsible for ordering, maintaining, and updating company assets.
* Set up and configure hardware and workspace for users at our 2 premises, including the set up and distribution of equipment for remote workers.
The Successful IT Support Technician will have the following skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of Microsoft software at a competent user level
* Excellent communication skills
* Asset Management
* Good overall security practices
* Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Additional Information:
Due to the location of the office and no local public transport routes, must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle.
