IT Support Engineer

Are you a curious, experienced 1st Line Engineer who is looking to move to a company with great development opportunities?
I am keen to speak with 1st Line Engineers, who are strong communicators and looking to join a business that will give you hands on support to develop your skills. You will join a small team off five, covering 1st Line duties across both Software and Hardware, working closely with a member of the team to develop your 2nd line skills. What is important for this role, is that you are comfortable speaking with stakeholders of all levels ranging up to Directors and that you can be on site on the Science Park in Cambridge 5 days per week. To be successful in your application for this role, you will:
Have experience providing 1st Line support to Windows OS.
Be a curious learner – There are some complex, bespoke systems you will gain full training in supporting.
A basic understanding of Networking. You wont need to be an expert.
The exciting part about this role is how broad it is, you will be exposed to a range of fixes, you wont be pigeon holed into purely 1st line duties, you will learn about their complex bespoke systems and also have a big involvement in project’s.
This role is for a 3-year fixed term contract with a good chance this will be either extended or made permanent at the end of this 3 years. Long term fixed term contracts are common within the business.
