As a dedicated Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a vital role within a dynamic team of five, focusing on configuring and maintaining the companies virtual private cloud infrastructure.
You will be responsible for the reliability and availability of SaaS solution, hosting customer servers, your day-to-day will involve deploying and managing virtualised infrastructure, collaborating with developers and administrators to integrate cloud services, and monitoring the environment for optimal performance and security.
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to disaster recovery plans, automate tasks for operational efficiency, and stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Your expertise in virtualization, networking, security, OS, and automation will be essential.
Key Skills and Experience
Previous commercial experience in an infrastructure role.
Understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts within cloud infrastructure.
Some scripting and automation experience (Python, PowerShell or Bash).
Virtualised platform experience, in particular using VMware.
Proven experience deploying and managing cloud environments, AWS preferred but Azure and GCP also considered.
