Job Description

An MSP that is going through substantial growth is looking to grow their engineering team. This is a great opportunity for an IT Engineer with a strong background in 2nd / 3rd Line fixes to move into a project focused role.

They are looking for engineers who are inquisitive in their approach to finding solutions witha desire to upskill. As they are in the early stages of growth their is substantial opportunities to grow within the business and move into senior positions quickly. 

What will you be doing as a Infrastructue Engineer? 

Configuring and troubleshooting next-generation firewalls, EDR, and MDR
Managing web filtering & safeguarding solutions
Handling wired and wireless networks
Implementing server and storage technologies
Utilizing backup technologies effectively
Managing Cloud IaaS solutions
Demonstrate expertise in 2nd/3rd line network configuration and troubleshooting
Excel in 2nd/3rd line Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting
Have a strong grasp of 2nd/3rd line firewall configuration and troubleshooting
Work within the ITIL framework on a varied ServiceDesk
Design solutions for clients and deliver on-site and remote projects effectively What experience do you need?

In-depth understanding of Networking Principles such as DNS, DHCP, IP Subnetting, and Routing
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Prev. Azure AD), and Email Protection
Proficiency in Web Filtering configuration
Experience with Aruba Wired and Wireless solutions
Extended knowledge of the Fortinet Fabric
Strong understanding of Cyber Security best practices and Cyber Essentials
Familiarity with Securly, Barracuda Email Protection, Server and Storage Technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, HPE), Veeam, or other backup technologies, and Sophos or other XDR technologies
You must hold a full UK drivers licence What will you get in return?

Basic salary of £45,000 + bonus

Hybrid working 1 day in Gloucester per week
Significant career opportunities with growing early stages start up This role requires travel into Gloucester 1 day per week so you must be willing to commute to that location.
